Daniel Pauly awarded the 2016 Albert Ier Grand Medal in the Science category

Dr. Daniel Pauly, University Killam Professor, Institute for the Oceans and Fisheries, has been awarded the 2016 Albert Ier Grand Medal (Science) by the Musée Océanographique (Monaco).

This award is the Musée Océanographique’s most prestigious prize, and is given to leading global marine researchers and experts. It was presented to Dr. Pauly by Prince Albert of Monaco at a ceremony in Paris, France on November 22, 2016.

Dr. Pauly is recognized as the world’s foremost fisheries scientist, and an expert on biodiversity research, the effects of overfishing, and global marine ecosystems.
