This July, faculty, staff, and the public are invited to attend a series of keynote talks as part of UBC Okanagan’s Summer Indigenous Art Intensive.
The summer intensive is organized by the Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies, and is a unique program that brings international and national Indigenous scholars and artists together on campus to interact with students in a residency context.
Keynote speakers include artists and theorists from across Canada, and some visiting from Australia and New Zealand. They include France Trépanier, Chris Creighton Kelly, Monika Kin Gagnon, Jeannette Armstrong, Shawn Wilson, Linda Tuhiwai Smith and Graham Hingangaroa Smith. All keynote talks will be live-streamed, and subsequently published in a monograph format.
